The City of Lewis welcomes you to our community.  The following is a brief listing of "need to know" information pertaining to the City.

Parks
    
The City of Lewis maintains  two city parks.  One is in the downtown area and the other is in Pioneer Park on the East side of town.  Each has playground equipment with a basketball court. There are many picnic tables and a park shelter for use on a first come, first serve basis.   

Community Center
     
The Community Center located on Main Street is available to the public for rent.  Price ranges available for groups of all sizes.  Comfortably seats 200 people.  Features are a Large Room that is 55 x 60, carpeted Meeting Room that is 20 x 25  with a refrigerator and sink, a large fully equipped kitchen with dishes and flatware, large accommodating restrooms, handicap accessible, and reasonable rates.  For more information contact the Lewis Community Center at 712-769-2264 or  Evona Billings at 712-769-2522.

Miscellaneous Information

      Building permits are required before any new construction or alterations or additions can take place.  Applications and information sheets are available at City Hall.
